Penn State Cooperative Extension, Franklin County, is seeking:
A Riding Instructor for Autistic Children. Develop written lesson plans for all rider classes, conduct evaluations after riding sessions. Collect data, prepare and provide reports bi-monthly and annually. Evaluate, train and accept new horses into the program. Follow guidelines and standards established by NARHA and PACTH. Conduct public relations presentations.
Requires Bachelor's degree in equine facilitated therapeutics or equivalent, plus three months of work-related experience. Should be a NARHA Registered Instructor or be able to meet the requirements in six months. Must be able to work independently, with volunteers, and children. Experience with autistic children helpful.
